BEEF FROM AWARD WINNING RED POLL CATTLE

We have been keeping Red Poll cattle since January 2014, when we gave a home to two in calf cows and six heifers. Our herd takes its name from the Airfield we live on and the surrounding areas we graze the cattle on, The Stapleford Herd. The cattle settled in very well and enjoy grazing alongside the planes. We wanted to go down the rare breed route and as Red polls are native to East Anglia and they are renowned for their good quality meat. 

With excellent mothering abilities and easy calving, we calve late in the Winter or early Spring when the animals are in the shed, out of the harsh weather, where we can keep an eye on them and lend a hand where required.
